We left Pittsburgh on August 29th and made our way to Ann Arbor.
You would think the storms were chasing us most of the time as we encountered some fun torrential downpours in our Ford Explorer.

Michigan – Here We Come!
The last 40 minutes on this trip were during a driving rainstorm again…ugh.
We got to our hotel – The Residence Inn on Huron Street, Ann Arbor in the middle of torrential downpours.
It’s a great location if you ever visit Ann Arbor as you can park your car and walk everywhere.
It’s a great college town although we are still biased towards our favorite Penn State!!

We had a chance to visit Michigan Stadium which is nice and all…

But of course, our favorite is Beaver Stadium.
We had some great margaritas and tacos at TAQueria on Liberty Street.

Ann Arbor has a number of dog parks, but I’ll save you the trouble and let you know that the only dog park to go to is the Swift Run Dog Park on Platt Road!

Ann Arbor is definitely on my list to visit. Great college town and atmosphere with terrific history. Agree fully that it is not Happy Valley, the very best college town in America !!!! Enjoy your travels and hopefully rain subsides and the late summer / early fall is terrific

Would love to visit Ann Arbor one day. I’ve heard of Zingermans from Cheryl Gilmore, she’d have food sent to her girls if they couldn’t get home for the holidays. Enjoy! 🙂
